Hall of Flame

Image of chiles

The Chile Pepper Institute honors its long-standing members and donors by providing a chile-decorated ceramic tile in the Chile Pepper Institute's Hall of Flame. The oak cabinet holds four and six inch square tiles that can also be bought to honor individuals, family members, and your favorite chileheads.

The Hall of Flame is located at the Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum in Las Cruces, New Mexico. There is also an identical copy of the Hall of Flame directly across from the Chile Pepper Institute Center for Chile Education in Gerald Thomas Hall.

The Hall of Flame was made possible by a generous donation from the McIlhenny Co. in Louisiana, who produce Tabasco hot sauce, as well as from Chile Pepper Institute members worldwide.

The New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum is open Monday-Saturday, from 9:00am to 5:00pm, and on Sundays from noon to 5:00pm. Admission is $3.00 for adults, $2.00 for senior citizens, $1.00 for children (ages 6-17), and free for children five and under. For more information, contact the Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum at (505) 522-4100.
